Hello!
I’m Yessica.
Im Dr. Karpov’s office manager. I love to travel. Everything that comes with traveling excites me! I enjoy learning and immersing myself into the different cultures, languages, and music. Traveling has helped me grow and learn so much about myself. I have recently become obsessed with health and wellness and truly believe that our relationships, physical activities, careers, and spirituality plays a huge role in our wellness. Naturally, I decided to go back to school to obtain my BS in Integrative Health. I envision myself acquiring a masters degree in Nutrition. I was born and raised in New York City and currently reside in Westchester with my husband and mother in law. I am a paw parent to the cutest frenchie name Pablo Gotham. I keep a journal to one day hide in my home for someone to find many years later. I love to read about romance but I never apply any of it to my personal life. I enjoy listening to country and Arabic music and my favorite pass time is to watch Turkish tv shows with my mother in law. Ironically I work in the dental field but secretly have a soft spot for sweets.
I’m Valentina.
Your front desk receptionist at Karpov Orthodontics. I reside in New York with six years in the Dental field. I take pleasure in learning and connecting with our patients, and witnessing how the doctors elevate their smiles and instill that CONFIDENCE back in them. It is truly AMAZING. Beyond work, I am a proud mother of a precious baby boy whom I love spending time with. He is my constant motivation that always has me striving for more. I also enjoy spending time with my sisters, watching various plays, visiting tea houses, doing karaoke, and exploring diverse cultural cuisines. We constantly plan for our next exciting destination. I am very family-oriented. It gives me such a great warm feeling just being around others who truly love and care about you, and what brings family together?… FOOD! oh yes, food lover over here! Good food and music of course I’m there. I truly take delight in relaxing, staying home, and putting on a good comedy/action movie or TV show. while I’m still learning new things and facing new challenges I eagerly anticipate discovering what the future holds for me.
I’m Brooke.
I grew up in Long Island but always loved the hustle and diversity of the city. So I moved when I was 21. Currently I live in Queens with my daughter Lilly, who is an amazing artist. We are big animal lovers, we have a Jack Russell named Amy, Pebbles the cat, and her bird Soba. We love visiting aquariums whenever we travel outside of NYC. I have been assisting for over 20 years, and have worked at Karpov Orthodontics for over 10 years. I love connecting with our patients and watching the children grow during their treatment. I love spending time with my child, 2 nieces and 3 nephews! I enjoy baking and cake decorating. Some of my guilty pleasures are reading Stephen King books, watching Law and Order & horror flicks and we attend comic con whenever we can.
I’m Nikky.
I was born in the Dominican Republic and I moved to the US when I was 12. My first language is Spanish. Two languages I would like to learn are Russian and Latin. My favorite hobbies are painting, sewing, and to write short stories when I have time. Apart of this, I started working as a dental assistant 2 years ago, first as a general dental assistant and then got the opportunity to work with Dr. Karpov and her team which made me learn everything I know about orthodontics. Hoping to continue learning more in this chapter.
I’m Zompa.
Ever since I was a kid, being in dental office has been very fascinating. I grew up in a Tibetan refugee camp located in Nepal where dentistry is a luxury rather a necessity. Working in an orthodontic office and having an impact in our patient’s life to better their smile & health has been a journey & pure joy. I speak four languages: Tibetan, Nepali, Hindi & English. My life goal is to build a nonprofit school in a developing country for girl child because I studied in one. I also want to further my career and study to become a hygienist. I have passion for food, fashion, crime documentaries and traveling.
I’m Julio.
I was born and raised in Venezuela, a country full of natural beauty. At 26 years old, I completed my dental studies in my homeland. However, six years ago, for economic, political, and social reasons, l made the difficult decision to leave Venezuela and move to the United States to build a new life. My destination was straight into the bustling city of New York, where I have made my home ever since. Since a young age, I have been passionate about the area of healthcare, and this passion led me to pursue a career in dentistry. For me, there is no greater satisfaction than helping people keep their smiles healthy and happy. Every day in the office is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of patients, as a dental assistant and that is something that fills me with gratitude. Outside of the office, I greatly enjoy exploring the world and immersing myself in different cultures. Traveling is one of my great passions, and I have had the opportunity to visit several countries, each with its own charm and wonders to discover. Although my life has been a series of changes and challenges, I am grateful for the experiences I have had and the wonderful people I have met along the way. My journey so far has been an exciting adventure and I am excited to see what the future holds. My goal is to continue growing as a professional and as a person, while continuing to look for ways to make the world a better place for everyone.
I'm Briyanna.
I was born and raised in Manhattan, New York. From the age of 13, I harbored a strong aspiration to work in the dental field. My interest in orthodontics blossomed during the time I had braces, prompting me to pursue a role as an assistant in the field. Outside of my professional life, I find joy in painting and immersing myself in reading or watching documentaries, particularly those focused on crime and mysteries. During my free time, I relish the opportunity to explore new eateries and engage in various activities.
