Dr. Maria A. Karpov received her DMD degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She then completed her postdoctoral studies in Orthodontics and also received her Masters in Oral Biology from the University of Pennsylvania. She was honored with the Basic Science Research Award for her achievements in the orthodontic residency program. Dr. Karpov dedicates a substantial amount of time to continuing education. She successfully completed a two-year course on functional occlusion, which focuses on aesthetic and functional goals in orthodontic treatment.

Dr. Karpov is a member of several professional organizations including American Association of Orthodontics, American Dental Association, and Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists. Dr. Maria Karpov is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and she is on staff at the University of Pennsylvania Dental Health Care System. Dr. Maria Karpov is married and has a 10-year old son. She resides with her family in the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
